Genuine ECOTOURISM Operator

Ecotourism is ecologically sustainable tourism with a primary focus on experiencing natural areas that foster environmental and cultural understanding, appreciation and conservation.

Ecotourism Australia’s ECO certification program has been Approved by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), as one of the first tourism certification programs in the world to meet the compliance requirements of the GSTC Approval Manual.

The Global Sustainable Tourism Council is an independent body that establishes and manages global standards for sustainability in travel and tourism with the aim of increasing sustainable tourism knowledge and practices.

The GSTC Approved tick logo means that our ECO certified products are certified under a certification program, namely Ecotourism Australia’s ECO certification, is using a Global Sustainable Tourism Council -recognised standard, is following processes and procedures that have been reviewed and approved by the GSTC, and that the certification procedures largely meet international standards for transparency, impartiality, and competence.

We are registered supporters of 15 Trees, they plant native trees, shrubs and grasses to Offset Our Carbon Emissions/Footprint.

We support the Australian Wildlife Conservancy as our Contribution to Conservation to protect our native wildlife and habitats, and the Foundation for Australia's Most Endangered Species Ltd.

For non-core transport to quickly get you in and out of Melbourne to join Our Tours we use fast and efficient V/Line trains. The trains are comfortable, air-conditioned with panoramic views of

the countryside, much better than sitting in congested Melbourne traffic.  Using fast trains also reduces our Carbon Footprint and Climate Change impact.

We use recycled water and biodegradable cleaning fluids to wash our vehicles.   All recyclable waste collected on tour is put into appropriate recycle bins.

We have been Members of Ecotourism Australia since 2007, most of our tours are Ecotourism Certified, and those that are not, are conducted with the same Ecotourism Ethos and guidelines.

The Ecotourism Certified tours are identified by the Ecotourism Logo.
